Rima Jameel
Rima Jameel is a lawyer with a very broad spectrum of corporate and commercial transactional experience and a solid understanding of business and can bring that awareness and expertise to the client.
Ms. Jameel attended University at the University of Wisconsin, USA and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Thereafter, she was awarded her Juris Doctorate in Law from Widener University School of Law in Pennsylvania and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.
Ms. Jameel completed her training in the United States in the area of corporate and commercial law. She relocated to the United Arab Emirates joining the law firm of Al Tamimi & Company in Dubai as a Legal Consultant in the Banking & Finance Department.
In 2003, Ms. Jameel became Chief Counsel for Gulf Oil and Gas, an oil & gas services company in Abu Dhabi and was responsible for the legal affairs of the parent company and its subsidiaries for the Middle East and North Africa, which included corporate and commercial matters, energy (oil & gas), and project finance.
In 2006, Rima Jameel returned to private practice in Dubai as a Partner in midsize law firm where she continued to develop her commercial practice to include franchising/licensing, mergers and acquisitions and private equity matters; Ms. Jameel further expanded her energy background to include infrastructure (power generation, desalination, thermal energy and waste water).
In January 2011, Ms. Jameel joint SAGE Legal and continued to focus on corporate/commercial legal consulting and advisory services to small and medium sized enterprises. Rima Jameel continues to focus her practice on regional and international franchising, cross border merges and acquisitions and private equity matters.
Ms. Jameel is fluent in English (written and spoken) and conversant in Arabic.
